Chart data

How chart positions are stored, matched, and what history we can show.

Chart positions on artist and market pages come from snapshots we store as we scrape and ingest data — not a hand-curated lifetime record.

If an artist charted strongly before we tracked that source, or before their name matched our resolver the way it does now, that history may not appear.

Search can surface artists that exist only on charts (“charting” badge). Opening their page creates an artist row and starts linking Spotify and social profiles when credentials are configured.

How to read ranks

Treat peaks and ranks as the best we have observed in our pipeline, not definitive lifetime stats. Numbers improve as we keep more history and refine matching.
